Kate O'Hara didn't come to business advisory through a consulting firm or a corner office. She came through a family business.
As second-generation CEO of O'Hara Interiors, she inherited a nearly forty-year-old firm, expanded it across multiple states, rebuilt its leadership infrastructure, and restructured it two weeks before COVID lockdowns began. She eventually made the hardest call of all: navigating its intentional wind-down with care for the people and legacy inside it.
That experience is what she brings to Lake House Group. She works with founders, second-generation leaders, and owner-operators in the $5M–$30M range who are navigating growth, succession, or the question of what comes next. Her approach is direct and practical: break the problem down, put the owner in the driver's seat, and bring the kind of perspective that only comes from having actually run something.
